This project was to provide a custom-built and more cost-effective alternative to the clients current learning tool; Basecamp.  Ideally at a one-off cost which will provide a single, integrated, and simplified web application appropriate for the client’s everyday business activities. The ability to integrate project management, task management and other applications to the tool will reduce the time spent on carrying out the same activities as a standalone process by about 50% (time wasted managing activities on standalone applications).

Another key reasoning behind this project is to build a collaboration tool that will enable mentors track KPIs and provide better security in terms of access control, document sharing and version control. The scope of the custom-built tool was to offer the same functionalities as Basecamp and with the added flexibility for customization and scalability. This will provide a solution that is tailored to suit the unique business processes of the Client. It should be noted that the custom-built solution is a web-based application that will be mobile responsive and adaptive and may not display all the aesthetics found in native apps.
